New JAMB admission guidelines in 2018
Have you heard about new JAMB admission guidelines? JAMB releases new university admission guidelines. JAMB has approved new admission rules for applicants applying for admission to Nigerian higher educational institutions.

Mr. Ishaq Oloyede, JAMB registrar, introduced the new rules of JAMB new admission guidelines to all leaders of schools at the 2018 meeting of higher educational institutions.
The meeting took place at the recently finished Bola Babalakin Auditorium in Gbongan, Osun State which accommodates 4,000 persons. Besides, Mallam Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education and other stakeholders attended the meeting.

Introducing the new rules, Mr. Oloyede announced that the policy and process implemented by JAMB were improved to provide hitch-free reception in the academic session 2018. He said that the number of points for mobile money operators’ e-selling, payments online, PoS and ATMs has increased.

The Federal Government has required conscientiousness from leaders of higher education institutions because many institutions are not doing their job in good faith.
Oloyede underlined that some of them fulfill their duties understanding and knowing that their deals could not pass the check for conscientiousness as they turn a blind eye to violations.
As for the new rules, Mr. Oloyede stated that measures had been taken to prove that blind applicants were not deprived of civil rights when the international students got the fees reduced from 120 US dollars to 20 US dollars. He said that the central admission system which was developed and deployed in 2017 helps to provide unhindered admission process.
Besides, JAMB ran a mobile app ‘JAMBMOBILE’ to assist applicants. Such application can be used for application and matriculation status checking as well as admission acceptance or rejection.

The Minister of Education invoked to heads of high schools in Nigeria to introduce clarity, integrity, justice, and justice to nation-building as fundamental principles in their institutions.
He called for all parties concerned to provide compliance with all policy instructions for the sake education’s development in Nigeria. The minister noted that rule’s infringements would not be allowed since the appropriate sanctions will be used for an intruder.
Wale Babalakin, the Pro-Chancellor of the Lagos State University stated that Nigerians could not realize their complete potential if they would not reward expertise and persistent work and at the same time penalize for inappropriate actions.

Hope that JAMB new guidelines on admission will help to make the process more transparent and convenient both for candidates and universities.
